Preparing for the days after a hair transplant is as important as booking the procedure. Organising everyday responsibilities beforehand can make it easier to follow care instructions and allow time for rest.
Review your working arrangements
Tell the clinician if your work involves exertion, sunlight, dust, sweating or protective headwear. Someone else’s return-to-work date is not a reliable guide to your own situation. Allow flexibility in meetings and travel commitments where needed.
Prepare your home or accommodation
Find out how to obtain the products recommended for your care. Keep written instructions about sleep and cleansing. Clarify who will guide the first wash; a general online video should not replace individual advice.
Keep follow-up clear
Record review dates, the process for photo updates and the person responsible for questions. Contact your clinical team about unexpected symptoms rather than trying to manage them yourself. Our recovery guide explains why skin healing and visible growth are assessed on different timescales.
This is general educational information. Consult a qualified clinician for individual assessment and care advice.
